I really enjoy taking scenery pics from the middle of the river. This was a nice little spot about 3/4 of a mile down from Goodwin Dam where this small pool flowed back into the main river.

Alan casting on the lower Stanislaus
Dad and I hit the lower Stanislaus on Friday the 13th. We had a great time, but no luck. Dad had 4 hooked, and I had 1, but we lost them all.
We parked at the Goodwin Dam parking area, and hiked up to the first big pool below the dam. We then fished about a half mile down the river.
Dad's hits were on brassies, san juan worms and salmon eggs. Mine was on a #20 zebra midge and san juan worm.
